The 5 points of yoga

The 5 points of yoga basically help essence of the yoga teachings into five principles for physical and mental health as well as spiritual growth. These are the core teachings to : proper exercise, proper breathing, proper relaxation, proper diet and positive thinking and meditation.

So to begin im going to explain to you what proper exercise is vs. what is not..

Proper ExerciseProper exercise is suppose to be pleasant and not intense. Everyday we see people going to the gym and working thier butts off... This is the wrong interpretation of excercising. Its suppose to be beneficial to the body, mind and soul. Were supposed to be healthy when it comes to our body and not over work it.

Proper breathing

Yoga teaches us how to use our lungs to thier maximum capacity and how to properly use out breath. Fact is most people only use about a fraction of our lung capacity. Due to bad posture our shoulders tend to not open thier ribcage which means they cannot reach thier full lung capacity.

Proper relaxing

Butterfly pose

Today I am talking to you guys about the "butterfly pose" we mostly use everyday in a regular yoga class. Its a very simple exercise that can be used anywhere with many benefits following. For this pose your are basically sitting down with both palms of your feet facing each other, with your hands holding your feet in place. The butterfly pose
Is an amazing stretch for the inner thighs as it stimulates the heart and improves your blood circulation. The butterfly pose was created by the Chinese as it's actual name is "Baddah Konasana". It was translates to butterfly pose for its form as the butterfly. Its told that this pose is therapeutic because its affects the spiritual paradox, and that spirit is what creates more energy for more abundance in our lives. Further more, most people use this pose when they're stressed out, tired or when they had a rough. Its common for being stress reliever and perfect for daily exercise such as running and after sports. I really love this pose because it clams me down. It really stretch's out my thighs and makes me more flexible!

In my opinion I believe this pose is challenging but after your done with it has an amazing feel after. It increases your flexibility while relaxing you at the same time!

See you later on my next blog! :)
